316 Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 325 of 12 November 1995 if he will give details of the funding of the extension of the Castlerea sewerage scheme, County Roscommon to facilitate the residents of the Arm to Williamstown Road. [21476/97]

A preliminary report for the Castlerea sewerage scheme, which includes the provision of a collection system to the area referred to, is with my Department but having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this scheme.
