Smith asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to the urgent need to provide additional mooring facilities at Ballyconnell, County Cavan; the proposals, if any, there are to undertake this work in 1998; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The waterways service of my Department has received a number of requests to provide additional mooring facilities at Ballyconnell, County Cavan. However, it is not planned to undertake any work of this nature in Ballyconnell during 1998.
