Question:

371 Mr. L. Burke asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his Department's policy, if any, in relation to the tendering of projects for at risk youth; and if so, if this policy is implemented in all areas of the country; the structures for consultation, if any, which are utilised by his Department in setting up new projects, particularly with voluntary youth organisations who are the lead service deliverers in this area; the professional surveys, if any, which his Department have commissioned in the setting up of projects; the policy guidelines, if any, his Department has in relation to the way in which local communities are represented on the management committees of these projects and the appropriate role for gardaí and probation and welfare officers in the management of these projects; the appropriate legal structures which is utilised in directing challenging funds to these projects; the qualifications, if any, which are required for the employees who deliver services in this regard; whether there is a common external evaluation component built into these projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
