496 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science when a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will receive a radio transmitter and receiver to assist with her class studies due to her deafness; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21403/97]

I understand that a request for the equipment in question has been received in my Department in the past week. This request is currently being processed and I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the equipment will be provided for the pupil in question shortly.
