Vol. 484 No. 1

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Michael Ring

94 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will instruct the Land Commission section of his Department to assist a person (details supplied) in County Mayo with the registration of his land from the Congested Districts Board of Ireland in view of the fact that the delay is causing severe financial hardship and the person's solicitor can get no reply from the Land Commission to a letter of 4 October 1997. [21673/97]

The property in question was vested by Vesting Orders dated 26 April 1906 and 9 May 1907.

The registration of this property is a matter for the Land Registry.

A letter has recently been issued to the firm of solicitors. The delay in replying was unavoidable as a search was undertaken to locate the original documentation.
