Question:

72 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive payment on his 1997 headage and premia applications. [22390/97]

The following payments have now issued to the person named: £35.88 in respect of 1997 sheep headage application; £1,606.88 in respect of 1997 cattle headage application; £1,598.62 in respect of 1997 suckler cow application and £162.30 in respect of 1997 ten month special beef premium application.

73 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive payment on her 1997 headage and premia applications. [22391/97]

The person named is not the registered herd owner of the herd number listed. The following payments have now issued to the person, same address as the person named, in whose name the above herd number is registered:

£720 in respect of 1997 sheep headage application; £576 in respect of 1997 cattle headage application, and £420.69 in respect of 1997 suckler cow application.

The following payments have now issued to the person named: £2,000 in respect of 1997 sheep headage application; £1,038 in respect of 1997 cattle headage application and £841.38 in respect of 1997 suckler cow application.

This application is one of a number on which the advice of the Attorney General has been sought. It will be processed when this advice is received in my Department.
