Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Neville — the need for a plan of action for homeless children in the Eastern Health Board area; (2) Deputy Deasy — the need to protect wildlife habitats in accordance with European Union directives; (3) Deputy Durkan — the reasons for the difference in support between applicants for mortgages and rent supplements whereby the former are given little support while the latter receive up to 80 per cent support; (4) Deputy Shatter — the need for consideration to be given to Olga Anisimova and her daughter being permitted to reside in the State; (5) Deputy Upton — the need to clarify the reasons for not implementing the Refugee Act, 1996.

The matters raised by Deputies Neville, Durkan, Shatter and Upton have been selected for discussion.
