64 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the proposal, if any, he has for the continuation of the installation aid scheme in view of the additional budget allocation of £3.5 million; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22509/97]
The additional allocation of £3.5 million for the scheme of installation aid is intended to ensure that the remaining applications on hands when the scheme was suspended on 7 August 1997 will be processed for payment early in 1998.
I have also secured the agreement from the Minister for Finance, to draw up a tightly focused revised scheme from existing Department resources targeted towards smaller farmers. Consultations on this will get under way with the relevant organisations in the period ahead.
65 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when headage payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if his Department will expedite this matter. [22512/97]
The following payments have issued to the person named: £825 in respect of 1997 cattle headage application, £588.96 in respect of 1997 suckler cow application, £270.51 in respect of 1997 10 month special beef application, £162.30 in respect of 1997 22 month special beef application.

The person named did not submit an area aid application for 1997 and consequently headage payments cannot issue to him.
67 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when 1997 headage and suckler cow payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the reason for the delay in payments in this regard; and if he will have arrangements to have these payments made immediately.
