83 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the legislation, if any, he will bring forward to regulate the siting and operation of mobile phone masts; if he will take submissions in relation to this legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No. 341 of 30 September 1997. I have no plans for further legislation in this area. Legislation governing the operation of telecommunications is a matter for the Minister for Public Enterprise.
