Financial Resolutions, 1998. - Business of Dáil.

It is proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders and the Order of the Dáil of this day, that: (1) the Dáil shall sit later than 4.45 p.m. today and business shall be interrupted not later than 5.15 p.m.; and (2) the following arrangements shall apply in relation to the statements on the closure of Seagate Technology Plant: (i) the statements, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 4.45 p.m. today; (ii) the statement of the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment and of the main spokespersons for the Fine Gael Party and the Labour Party and of each other Member called upon shall not exceed ten minutes in each case; (iii) Members may share time; and (iv) following the statements the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment shall take questions for a period not exceeding 30 minutes.
