Question:

124 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the items of surplus stores, if any, which have been sold in 1996; the amount realised in this regard; and if he will give the same data for 1997. [23303/97]

The sale of surplus stores, consisting mainly of obsolete weapons and vehicles, scrap metal items and tyres, realised approximately £416,000 in 1996 and £391,000 in 1997.
