Vol. 485 No. 3

Written Answers. - Communications Masts.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

223 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the way in which he responded to the Carrick-on-Shannon concerned residents groups in relation to their fears about the erection of a communication mast in close proximity to their local schools. [23380/97]

On a recent visit to Carrick-on-Shannon a representative of the Carrick-on-Shannon Concerned Residents handed me a letter concerning the proposed attachment of telecommunications antennae to existing ESB radio masts at Mullaghmore, Carrick-on-Shannon and at Lower Summerhill, Carrick-on-Shannon. A reply will issue very shortly and I will arrange for a copy of that reply to be sent to the Deputy.
