Vol. 485 No. 3

Written Answers. - Professional Fees.

Liam Aylward

Question:

81 Mr. Aylward asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the reason no payment has been made to date in 1997 to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary who gave professional evidence at Employment Appeals Tribunal hearings (details supplied); and if she will have arrangements made for immediate payment. [23161/97]

My Department has no function in relation to the payment of fees in respect of persons employed by a party to give professional evidence at Employment Appeals Tribunal hearings.

The person about whom the Deputy asks should be advised to seek payment of his fee etc. from the party which employed him to appear at the tribunal hearing.
