Question:133 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will provide computers and connection to the Internet to a school (details supplied) in County Mayo. [2763/98]

The school concerned will, as stated in Schools IT 2000 — A Policy Framework for the New Millennium, be eligible to receive multimedia computers with Internet access. The National Centre for Technology in Education is commencing work on this aspect of the initiative and I have asked that they forward details to the school as soon as they are available.
