142 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in appointing a resource teacher to a school (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2869/98]
I can assure the Deputy that I share his concern at the ongoing delay in filling the resource post which has been allocated by my Department.
Responsibility for filling this post rests with the board of management of the base school for the post in question.
I understand that every effort is being made by the authorities in the base school to fill the post in question as speedily as possible.
