Vol. 486 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Correspondence.

Paul Bradford

Question:

71 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will respond favourably to correspondence regarding the removal from practice of a person (details supplied). [2960/98]

It would be inappropriate for me as Minister for Health and Children to comment on this matter. Issues concerning retirement on grounds of illhealth are a matter for the relevant chief executive officer, in the first instance. I should add, for the information of the Deputy, that superannuation of health board employees comes under the local government superannuation scheme which is under the aegis of my colleague, the Minister for the Environment and Local Government.
