Vol. 486 No. 5

Written Answers. - Third Level Institution.

Richard Bruton

Question:

86 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will give details of the latest stage of planning of the third level college for Blanchardstown, Dublin 15; and when he expects to be in a position to conclude the process and to make a formal announcement. [2914/98]

In my press release of 28 January 1998 I announced that the Government had given approval for the creation of the establishment board for a new third level institution in Blanchardstown. The function of the board will be to prepare an implementation plan for the new institution, and to facilitate the earliest possible start to all academic and research activities.
