Vol. 487 No. 1

Written Answers. - Harbours and Piers.

Seán Barrett

Question:

80 Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will confirm that Crosshaven fishermen are not being charged for ice during the period when development works are being carried out at Crosshaven pier, County Cork. [3512/98]

The ice plant at Crosshaven, County Cork is owned and operated by BIM which has responsibility for the national ice supply network around the coast. While I therefore have no direct function in the matter, the Department has asked BIM for a report on the situation at Crosshaven and I will communicate further with the Deputy on receipt.
