Question:

109 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount of money that was spent in the latest year for which figures are available on the addition of fluoride to water supplies in this country. [3586/98]

The addition of fluoride to public water supplies is administered through the health boards. I have been advised by the health boards that the fluoridation revenue costs for 1997 are as set out in the table following.
