Question:186 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the special housing aid grant for the elderly for which she first applied three years ago. [4571/98]

As the Deputy is aware, the administration of the housing aid scheme for the elderly in the Mayo area is a matter for the Western Health Board.
I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate this case as a matter of urgency and respond directly to the Deputy with the board's findings.
