Vol. 487 No. 6

Written Answers - Departmental Property.

Seán Haughey

Question:

335 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education and Science the specific efforts, if any, he has made to date in 1998 to recover a property (details supplied) in Dublin 3; if his Department will take possession of the property immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4675/98]

The Chief State Solicitors office, acting on instructions from my Department, have given notice to the company and the receiver of my intention to regain possession at the earliest possible opportunity. Counsel has been appointed to advise my Department on the necessary legal process and I have conveyed instructions to counsel to press ahead urgently with the necessary legal process.

I am aware of the Deputy's interest in this matter and I will keep in touch with him regarding further developments.
