Vol. 487 No. 6

Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

351 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education and Science when funding will be provided for a new school at Corcaghan, Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4946/98]

Architectural planning for a new school at Corcaghan is at the preliminary stages. The project is being handled by the school's own design team which has recently been appointed. When all the architectural planning has been completed, a decision will be made on the timing of the tender process in light of contractual commitments. It is too soon as this stage to indicate when funding will be allocated for the construction stage.
