Vol. 487 No. 6

Written Answers - Tax Refunds.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

172 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance when a tax refund will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4901/98]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the Inspector of Taxes was not aware of the taxpayer's change of employment until she phoned the tax office on 17 February 1998. Details of pay and tax deducted in her previous employment have now been received and have been forwarded to her present employers. Any refund of tax due will be made by them.
