55 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if a separate environmental impact statement is required in relation to the depositing of silt materials and their removal in relation to the proposed Drogheda port development. [5313/98]

The existing enviromental impact statement or EIS carried out in respect of the planned development of Drogheda port contains detailed proposals in relation to the removal and disposal of dredge spoil and accordingly, a separate impact statement on these matters, is not envisaged.
