Question:

65 Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress in 1998 in providing for improved co-ordination in the delivery of paediatric services in the Dublin area; and the proposals, if any, that have emerged to date from the discussions taking place under the aegis of a facilitator. [5757/98]

Alan Shatter

Question:

133 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress made to date in providing for improved co-ordination in the delivery of paediatric services in the Dublin area; and the proposals, if any, that have emerged to date from the discussions taking place under the aegis of a facilitator. [5870/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 65 and 133 together.

A report based on the discussions referred to by the Deputy is to be submitted to the Department in the near future. I will then be in a position to consider the hospitals' proposals for co-ordinated delivery and development of paediatric services in the Dublin area.
