56 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the type of technology used in each electricity generating station in the country; the fuel type used; the staffing levels, age and cost of each plant; the thermal efficiency and the manpower to capacity ratio in each case; and if she will make a statement on the matter. These are operational matters relating to the day to day management of the ESB and ones in which I do not have a statutory function.

The information in question is also commercially sensitive with the advent of competition in the electricity sector in Ireland and it would not, therefore, be appropriate to disclose such information.
