Vol. 488 No. 3

Written Answers - Health Board Payments.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

76 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that an organisation (details supplied) does not have to wait for payments from the Eastern Health Board; and if he will ensure that voluntary community groups are paid on time in view of the fact that many are running overdrafts which they cannot afford to service. [6026/98]

I have been in touch with the Eastern Health Board regarding the payment of grants to voluntary agencies. The board has indicated that the amount due to the agency in question has been paid in full.
