Vol. 488 No. 5

Written Answers - Sale of Tickets.

Ivor Callely

Question:

45 Mr. Callely asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the procedures, if any, in place to prevent the selling of tickets for concerts, football matches and so on, above their face value; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6747/98]

There is no basis in consumer law for prohibiting the sale of tickets above their face value and accordingly, no procedures exist for this purpose.
