Vol. 488 No. 5

Written Answers - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Pádraic McCormack

Question:

93 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme for Moycullen, County Galway; when work is likely to start on this scheme; if there is provision in the 1998 Estimates to make available to Galway County Council the projected cost of £740,000 by way of capital costs; and, if not, whether it will be approved in the 1999 Estimates. [6652/98]

This scheme is included in my Department's water and sewerage services investment programme as a scheme to start construction this year. The preliminary report for the revised scheme was approved last month and it is now a matter for the local authority to have contract documents prepared.
