214 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 187 of 3 March 1998, the Western Health Board will provide a carer or personal assistant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [6935/98]
As I pointed out to the Deputy in my reply to the question of 3 March last, the provision of this carer service is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, I referred that question to the Western Health Board for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
I understand the matter is still under examination by the board and the Deputy will be informed when a decision has been reached.
