Question:

223 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children whether it is considered safe to use fluoridated toothpaste and drink fluoridated water. [7068/98]

It is both desirable and safe to use fluoridated toothpaste and to drink fluoridated water. It is also recommended that children under six years should be supervised when brushing using only a very small amount, peasize, of toothpaste.
