Question:

300 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when persons (details supplied) in County Galway will be approved and paid their applications for new house grants in view of the fact that they have lived in the houses since they were built. [7311/98]

The grants cannot be allowed as, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the applicants did not, on completion of the houses, occupy them as their normal place of residence.
