332 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands when she will make a decision on a report received by her from An Chomhairle Ealaíon in relation to proposals to have a voluntary severance package provided for players of the Abbey Theatre; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am considering, in consultation with An Chomhairle Ealaíon, the implication of the recent report received by my Department from An Chomhairle with regard to this complex issue. It should, however, be noted that the terms of any severance package that the board of the National Theatre Society may offer to the players involved will also have to be sanctioned by the Minister for Finance.
