Question:356 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will grant renewal of a visa to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [7090/98]

The person concerned has been refused permission to remain in the State. However, he will have a 21 day period in which he can make submissions as to why he should not be deported from the State and any submissions made will be given careful and detailed consideration before a final decision is made on his case.
