The most recent Garda research report dealing with the matter entitled Illicit Drug Use and Related Criminal Activity in the Dublin Metropolitan Area concluded that during the period 1 September 1995 to 31 August 1996 known hard drug users committed 66 per cent of all indictable crime in the Dublin metropolitan area.
