Vol. 488 No. 7

Written Answers. - Naturalisation Applications.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

375 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will make a decision on the application for naturalisation of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 in view of the fact that Trinity College Dublin have given him until 31 March 1998 to produce his certificate of naturalisation or pay £3,500 fees and his parents are naturalised Irish citizens. [7405/98]

I have considered the application from the person referred to and I have decided to grant a certificate of naturalisation in this instance. Officials from the immigration and citizenship division of my Department will be in contact with the person referred to in the very near future.
