387 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will provide details of the projects provided by the National Drugs Strategy Team to the local drugs task forces in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 and Clondalkin, Dublin 22; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7365/98]

Details of the projects approved by Government for funding as part of the actions plan of the local drugs task forces in Blanchardstown and Clondalkin are provided in the following schedule. Projects approved for funding include actions relating to the treatment and rehabilitation of drug misusers, curbing supply locally, identifying the nature and extent of the drugs problem in the area and increasing awareness of the dangers of drugs. They are designed to complement existing or planned services being provided by statutory agencies, such as the health boards, the Department of Education and Science and FÁS.
