Question:431 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education and Science the status in relation to a proposed second level Gaelscoil in Dublin. [7331/98]

I take it that the Deputy's question relates to proposals submitted to my Department for the establishment of an all-Irish second level school in north east Dublin.
I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 106 on Thursday, 5 March 1998. In that reply I indicated that a review of the need for such a facility had been completed by the planning section of my Department and that a report in the matter was being prepared.
It is hoped that this report can be finalised shortly. On receipt of the report, I will be in a position to make a decision in the matter.
