Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of teachers available for redeployment or reallocation at primary level in County Galway for each of the years from 1996 to date; the number of these teachers subsequently appointed as remedial teachers, resource teachers or to reduce class size or other functions; the number of teachers, if any, for 1998 that will be provided for resource and remedial places; and when the result of his review of the position in relation to these appointments will be made available.
