Written Answers. - Sports Capital Programme.
All applications on hand in my Department at 5 p.m. on 11 February 1998, under the sports capital programme, which comprises the major and recreational facilities schemes, 1,400 approximately, are currently being examined. The examination will be completed shortly and I hope to make announcements on the 1998 round of allocations in the next few weeks. It is not possible to say, until the examination has been completed, what amounts will be allocated.
