58 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he has concluded his consideration of the proposals made by the Irish Sports Council's anti-doping advisory committee; if he will implement the recommendations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7171/98]
In view of the complexities involved and of the need at the same time to make sure that a comprehensive and effective anti-doping policy for sport is launched, I have not yet fully concluded my consideration of the proposals made by the Irish Sports Council anti-doping advisory committee. It is still my intention, however, to make an announcement on the matter soon.
