Question:137 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid his 22 month special beef premium for 1997 in view of the fact that they have not yet received a first instalment. [7063/98]
The person concerned submitted a 22 month special beef premium application covering 37 animals on 11 March 1997. The first instalment of 60 per cent amounting to £1,893.57 in respect of 35 animals issued on 10 March 1998. Queries about the remaining two animals have been resolved and payment will issue shortly. A second advance payment of 30 per cent amounting to £1,000.85 in respect of all 37 animals is due to issue in the next fortnight.
