136 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his 1997 headage payment. [7062/98]

The person named will be paid his full entitlement under the 1997 cattle headage scheme within the next two weeks.

137 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid his 22 month special beef premium for 1997 in view of the fact that they have not yet received a first instalment. [7063/98]

The person concerned submitted a 22 month special beef premium application covering 37 animals on 11 March 1997. The first instalment of 60 per cent amounting to £1,893.57 in respect of 35 animals issued on 10 March 1998. Queries about the remaining two animals have been resolved and payment will issue shortly. A second advance payment of 30 per cent amounting to £1,000.85 in respect of all 37 animals is due to issue in the next fortnight.

140 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when arable aid payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7066/98]

It is expected that the payment due to this applicant will be made within the next two weeks.
