Vol. 489 No. 3

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Joe Higgins

Question:

160 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Health and Children his policy in relation to retired soldiers applying for jobs in his Department who have taken action against the State because of alleged damage to their hearing while serving in the Defence Forces; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7860/98]

The fact that retired soldiers may have taken an action against the State because of alleged damage to their hearing while serving in the Defence Forces would not in any way affect their consideration for vacancies arising in the Department of Health and Children.
