Vol. 489 No. 4

Written Answers. - Traveller Accommodation.

Alan Shatter

Question:

122 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position with regard to the compulsory purchase order to facilitate the construction of a halting site for travelling families and a small housing estate on lands adjacent to Ballyboden Road at the back of Boden Park estate in Dublin 16; and when he will make a decision following the public inquiry held into the matter. [8354/98]

South Dublin County Council has submitted a compulsory purchase order for the acquisition of land for the purposes of providing a halting site for travelling families and housing purposes at Ballyboden. A public local inquiry has been held into objections received against confirmation of the order. I will give my decision on this matter as soon as possible.
