149 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science his Department's response to the application for a special class teacher submitted to his Department in November 1997 by St. Gabriel's national school, Cowper Street, Dublin 1 which exclusively serves the most disadvantaged of children. My Department's inspectorate is currently finalising its review of the special educational needs of the children in question. I understand that a decision on the establishment of a special class is expected to be made shortly.
