Vol. 489 No. 5

Written Answers. - Road Transport.

Michael D. Higgins

Question:

37 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the action, if any, she will take to make out-of-State truck operators subject to Irish road traffic legislation in the same way as Irish operators; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8382/98]

It is my intention to bring forward a provision designed to make out-of-State truck operators subject to Irish road transport legislation in a Road Transport Bill which I propose to reintroduce later this year.
