368 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance if he will instruct the Office of Public Works to fulfil their duties under section 76 (1) of the Roads Act, 1993 on a road in County Mayo, in particular in relation to a person (details supplied); and the reason this is not being done. [9195/98]

The Office of Public Works has no authority under the Roads Act, 1993. Section 76 (1) of that Act refers to the powers of a road authority which, in this case, would be Mayo County Council.
