Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

375 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the possible availability of a premises at Lower Main Street, Leixlip, County Kildare which could be used as a site for a Garda station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9510/98]

My office is aware of the property to which the Deputy refers and my officials have been in regular contact with the owners since August, 1997. This property is not likely to be available for acquisition in the immediate future. My officials are continuing to maintain contact with the owners.
