Written Answers. - Medical Services.

Liam Aylward

Question:

438 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 159 of 31 March 1998 regarding the non availability of a drug (detail supplied) to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; his attention has been drawn to the fact that this particular drug is available to GMS holders in a community care area within the South Eastern Health Board; and if he will have arrangements made to make the drug available to this person in view of this and in view of the fact that her only income is an old age pension. [8867/98]

I have had inquiries made of the South-Eastern Health Board about this case and I am happy to inform the Deputy that the cost in full will be met by the board.
