Question:440 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made to have a person (details supplied) in County Sligo called for her eye test; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8960/98]

As the provision of ophthalmic services to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of that health board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
